ABOUT US
The Jewish Film Foundation was formed to broaden understanding of Jewish culture and heritage through film. A non-profit organization, the Foundation works cooperatively with presenters, filmmakers, educators and movie lovers to create a greater awareness of the vibrant Jewish film movement. Over the past five years it has initiated:
Jewish Film Rating Service. The JFF’s Film Council, consisting of almost 100 film festival directors, reviewed current features, documentaries, shorts and made-for-classroom fare to help exhibitors make informed decisions. It was the only guide of its kind.
Santa Barbara Jewish Film Festival. Since 2005 the JFF has run its own local film festival, which has grown in popularity each year and become a cherished Santa Barbara institution.
